stealing candy from children.

A few months ago we had a really cute primary activity--pAjaMa pArTy! Everyone came in their "pj's" and had breakfast, then we split up into classes to play games and make classroom rules. Well, instead of playing games the Anderson's CTR 5 class created a {{treasure box.}}

The kids decorated it and I filled it with dollar store goodies. They love it.

 If the kids are good/reverent/pay attention/keep the rules (((that they made up))) during class then they get to choose something from the treasure box before they go home. That's right. I'm not too proud to admit that we bribe our Primary kids. It works.every time. We also squirt imaginary glue onto every chair at the beginning of class and play the reverent game aka the quiet game to keep the kids in their seats and teach them to raise their hand if they want to talk. It works.sometimes.

This super fun treasure box was once filled with tootsie rolls.

whoops.

I have a problem with knowing that there is a box in my house filled with little candies that are oh so tasty. Whenever I have a craving for something sweet (and I'm feeling too lazy to run to the gas station or make some cookies) I sneak to the treasure box and grab a treat. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I steal the kid's candy. So now they won't have any tootsie rolls to choose from after they have been well behaved for the whole class...I'm a terrible person. But the first step to breaking a bad habit is admitting it right? There. That is my confession.

p.s. I'm really obsessed with >>> this <<< song right now
listen to it.
love it.
